Modern Tech Wood Floors L.L.C is an owner-operator hard wood floor/staircase refinishing company in Portland Oregon. I specialize in historical floor rejuvenation and handle all of the labor personally. I have been in the flooring industry since 2000. I have experience in many types of projects such as gymnasiums, intricate parquet, many exotic species and custom staining. My real bread and butter is a good 100 year old fir floor or a nice worn oak floor in need of some love. I have refinished many hundreds of them and know that they are the heart of Portland.

Comments: Andrew refinished our floors last spring and the end result was outstanding. He is committed to providing great service. Last week we replaced our front door and the old threshold was removed and replaced with a narrower one. This left a strip of flooring unfinished by Andrew. I called him and left a message Friday afternoon to ask for a quote for this small project. Needless to say Andrew was at the house Sunday morning and took care of old floor strip. If you like a contractor who shows up when they say, does a great job, and is very pleasant Andrew is your man. He even fed the cat for us at no extra charge. I would hire him again.

Below are some of the refinishing options we offer. Our solvent-based system includes two coats of Glitsa Multicoat and a thick conversion varnish. Our water-based finish system includes two coats of Glitsa Infinity 2 and one coat of Glitsa Max.
